Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B) from the University of Zambia, a Practising Certificate as an Advocate of the High Court for Zambia (LPQE), a Master of Laws in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of Lusaka and a Certificate in Company Secretarial & Share Registration Practice (CGIUKI) from the Kensington College of Business. Brian also holds a Certificate in Introduction to Domestic and International Arbitration courtesy of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Most recently, Brian also acquired a Diploma in Sports Law from the Johan Cruyff Institute (Spain). Brian has been Company Secretary and Legal Counsel of the Bank since 2019. Prior to that he worked as Assistant Legal Counsel in charge of litigation, legal compliance and corporate debt recoveries. Brian has extensive experience as a lawyer in Commercial and Corporate Law spanning a period of over 13 years. Prior to joining the Bank, Brian had a stint in private practice where he worked for about 2 years, mainly dealing with corporate advisory, securitization, conveyancing, corporate debt recovery and commercial litigation.
